WindowBuilder Wins Best The Eclipse Foundation announced the winners of its annual Eclipse Community Awards, which recognize the top individuals and products in the Eclipse community, on Monday, March 23, 2009. Recipients were honored at an awards ceremony on the opening day of EclipseCon 2009. The Technology Awards recognize both Eclipse-based open source projects and commercial products. WindowBuilder Pro was one of three finalists out of a pool of 64 candidates for Best Commercial Eclipse-Based Developer Tool. It was then selected number one by a panel of judges from the Eclipse community. WindowBuilder Pro was chosen for its usability, innovation, flexibility across different types of Java user interface frameworks, and the ability to solve the unique problems of software developers.
