Use the Database Functions category to visually construct database logic by adding database parts to the free-form surface and connecting the interface of the parts to visual or other nonvisual parts.

Before using parts from the Database Functions category, you need to first specify the database manager you want to use when developing your parts. From the System Transcript, select Visual tools > Database. A dialog is displayed, prompting you to specify a database manager.
