There are two ways to build a DDE server: one has default processing for all client requests, and the other enables your application to handle them. Throughout this chapter the code always compares in a case-insensitive manner. Many different tests have been done with a wide variety of available software and there is a wide variation among programs that preserve the case of strings and those that do not. Therefore, it is always best to check strings in a case-insensitive manner.
