Understanding the parts reference information
The parts palette on the Composition Editor includes many different parts in several categories. Every part on the parts palette is included in this section. Each part has its own chapter in this section and are included alphabetically in this section.
The following information is available for each part:
Features
The features consist of the part's attributes, events and actions. The features make up the part's public interface. The attributes, events, and actions are presented in separate sections alphabetically.
You can access the list of features visually using the connection window for the part. To display the connection window for a part, select Connect > More.
Settings
The settings consist of the characteristics of the part that can be set using the Settings window of the part. The settings are often default representations of certain features of the part.
To display the Settings window for a part, double-click on the part.
All of the information contained in this book is also available within the online help facilities provided with the product. You can access the settings information by selecting the Help push button on the Settings window. From the help panel for the Settings window, you can access a help panel for the part itself.
