Select the Text part to add a control that enables a user to type a single line or string of text in an entry field.

You can set the initial contents of the field and make the field read-only using the settings view window.

When you use a Text part in your application you provide the user with text editing capabilities such as cut, copy, and paste.

To display the pop-up menu for the part, click with mouse button 2 on the part.

To further define the appearance and function of a part, double-click on it to open the properties window.
