Exporting components
This chapter describes how to export VA Smalltalk components from one library to another.
The types of components that you can export include the following:
•User objects
•Classes
•Applications (or subapplications)
•Configuration maps
As with importing components, exporting enables you to copy entire components.
To migrate from one team environment to another, you simply export directly to the other library. To send your work to another developer not connected to the LAN you are using, but who works in the team environment, you create an empty library, export your components to it, and then give that developer a copy of the library you created. The developer can then import your components from the library.
Before you send your work to the other developer, ensure that you name Library Supervisor as application manager and class owner.
