To help you translate the text of your application's user interface, VA Smalltalk can extract the text that the user sees into editable translation files. The text can come from labels on visual parts, attribute names for visual parts, pool dictionaries used by your application, and messages defined for your application in the NLS Workspace - Indexed Messages window.

After you translate the text into another national language, you can build a binary file that stores the translated strings and import the translated strings into your application. If you are distributing your application in multiple languages, you distribute the binary file for a particular language along with the packaged application.
