Select Version to make a version of an application or subapplication edition.

You version an application or subapplication to preserve its contents. A version cannot be changed. Thus, once you make a version of an application or subapplication, you cannot change its contents. However, you can make a new edition of it, and then implement any desired changes.

To version an application or subapplication, you must be its manager. Further, before you can make the version, all of its parts must be versioned and released.

For the Basic Menus, selecting Version opens a window that asks for a version name.
