New Edition
Select New Edition to make a new edition of a part version.
A version cannot be changed. Thus, you cannot change a part version. However, you can use New Edition to make a new edition of it, and then change it. An edition can be changed.
Preconditions
To make a new edition, the following conditions must exist:
•The selected part must be a version. A version has a version name, such as 1.0, beside the part's name in the Details View or Flowed Icon View.
•The application containing the part must be an edition.
•You must be the part's owner or have access privileges that allow you to make an edition of the part.
