The generic development process
Whether you are developing an application or maintaining it, working on one application or a multifaceted tool, you follow the same continuous process:
1. Create an edition of a component
2. Change the component edition
3. Create a version of the component edition
4. Release the component version
5. Create an edition of the component version so other members of the team can use the component
6. Repeat
