Advanced packaging
You can use the advanced packaging process if your application does not meet the requirements for simple packaging (see
Packaging guidelines), or if you want to produce a smaller image than the one produced by the simple process. The advanced process requires more Smalltalk skills on your part to produce a successfully packaged application.
The following sections provide instructions on:
• What actually goes on during packaging.
• How to drive the packaging process.
• How to use the Packaged Image Browser to
o Change packaging options;
o Select the correct packaged image type.
• How to design applications so they are "packager friendly."
• How to correct an application that fails to package or fails to run.
