New Assist
C:\Users\documentation\Documents\vastePublisher\stable\VAS Documentation Word\ao\GRAPHICS\b_newast.jpg Open a new UI Assistant instance. This button C:\Users\documentation\Documents\vastePublisher\stable\VAS Documentation Word\ao\GRAPHICS\b_newast.jpg is very useful as it allows you to have multiple copies of the UI Assistant open (presumably with different pages active). If multiple Composition Editors are open, windows will float above the active one (foremost in the z-order).
Auto Hide (floating mode only)
Occasionally, you will want to temporarily hide the UI Assistant window so that you can access the Composition Editor’s menus or simply to free up the screen real estate. Normally, the UI Assistant floats on top of the active Composition Editor. Control-clicking on any of the UI Assistant notebook tabs will cause the UI Assistant to temporarily stop floating and immediately go behind the active Composition Editor. Re-selecting the UI Assistant window will cause it to start floating again.
Manual Parenting (floating mode only)
If Auto Parenting mode is turned off, you must manually specify which Composition Editor the UI Assistant will float over. The selected Composition Editor becomes the parent of the UI Assistant window. Right-clicking on any of the UI Assistant notebook tabs pops up a menu listing all of the open Composition Editors (as long as there are two or more) identified by their titlebar texts.

The current parent Composition Editor will be checked and grayed out. Selecting any other Composition Editor will immediately bring it to the front and cause the UI Assistant window to float on top of it. This pop up menu can also be used as a convenient means to switch between Composition Editors (especially if one or more get hidden behind other windows).
